About the Club

A place for shooting sports, tradition, and community

Ashippun Sportsmen's Club is a longstanding local organization in Ashippun, Wisconsin, built around trap shooting, community events, and the value of keeping a great club active for generations to come.

Our history

Ashippun Sportsmen's Club appears in the Town of Ashippun's historical records dating back to approximately 1939, making it one of the area's oldest active sportsmen's organizations. For more than eight decades the club has operated from the same grounds on Elm Street, growing from a local gathering point into a full-featured club with trap ranges, a clubhouse, and a calendar of annual events that members look forward to every year.

The club is formally incorporated as Ashippun Sportsmen's Club, Inc. and is recognized by the Town of Ashippun as a community organization. It has been a consistent part of southeastern Wisconsin's outdoor sporting community throughout its history.

Trap shooting

Trap shooting is at the core of what we do. The club operates three lighted trap houses and runs organized leagues throughout the Summer, Fall, and Winter seasons. Whether you are a seasoned competitor or picking up a shotgun for the first time, the league is a welcoming place to improve your game and compete alongside your neighbors.

Community and tradition

The club is more than a shooting range. Monthly member meetings, the annual fisheree on Ashippun Lake, the August picnic, and volunteer efforts along Highway 67 are all part of what makes membership here meaningful. The club has been a consistent part of this community for over 85 years, and that tradition continues today.
